Understanding the King Living Pro-Rata Warranty

At King Living, every product is crafted with care to deliver long-term performance and comfort. To support your investment, we offer a pro-rata warranty on selected components — extending your coverage beyond the standard manufacturing warranty with transparent, long-term protection.

What Is a Pro-Rata Warranty?

A pro-rata warranty provides partial coverage after the standard two-year manufacturing warranty period ends. If an eligible component develops a confirmed manufacturing fault during the extended warranty period, King Living contributes to the cost of a replacement — while the customer pays the remaining balance, based on how long the product has been in use.

The customer’s contribution increases over time, in line with the product's age at the time of claim.

Example:
If a component valued at $100 requires replacement during Year 3, and the contribution rate is 25%, the customer pays $25, and King Living covers the rest.

House call and transport fees apply and are charged separately.

What’s Covered?

The pro-rata warranty applies to the following product categories when a manufacturing fault is confirmed through an authorised assessment arranged by King Living:

1. Indoor Furniture Components

Covered for up to 15 years, with pro-rata coverage beginning after Year 2.

  • Foam, feather and fibre fillings
  • Suspension and springs
  • Sofa and storage bed mechanisms
  • Hydraulics
  • Legs, zippers and touch fasteners

Refer to Warranty Table 4 for full details.

2. King Leather and King Fabric

Covered for up to 5 years, with pro-rata coverage beginning after Year 2.
Refer to Warranty Table 5.
Note: exclusions apply to certain fabric types — see full warranty terms for details.

3. Sleep+ Products (excluding Fit Cover)

Covered for up to 15 years, with pro-rata coverage beginning after Year 2.
Refer to Warranty Table 15.

What’s Not Covered?

The pro-rata warranty does not apply to:

  • Outdoor furniture and outdoor components
  • Electrical or motion components (e.g. motors and mechanisms)
  • Products used in commercial or non-residential settings
  • Normal wear and tear (e.g. fabric fading, pilling, scratches, or natural foam softening)

See the full list of exclusions in our Warranty Terms.

Do Service Fees Apply?

Yes. To assess eligibility, an inspection must be arranged through King Living.

In most cases, this involves an on-site visit by an authorised technician. However, in some situations, where the issue is clearly identifiable, we may be able to assess the claim through photos instead — saving you time and the need for an in-person visit.

Indicative Inspection Fees:

  • From $120 in metro areas
  • From $150 in regional areas

Rates may vary depending on your location and the attending technician.

A formal quote for replacement will only be provided once a manufacturing fault is confirmed.
