Caring for my King Living Rug

At King Living, we understand the importance of keeping your rug in pristine condition. To help you maintain its beauty and longevity, we've compiled this quick guide on rug care.

Weekly Vacuuming

Regular vacuuming is key. We recommend a weekly vacuum with a non-rotating head to prevent dust and dirt from embedding into the fibres.

Cleaning Spills

In case of accidental spills, act quickly to minimise damage. Blot the liquid with a cloth or towel. Avoid rubbing the area, as this could spread the stain and damage the rug's pile.

Appearance Changes

Don't be concerned if your newly delivered rug appears slightly different in colour or texture compared to the showroom sample. This is a normal occurrence due to packaging and transit. A light vacuuming with a non-rotating head will help the fibres recover their original appearance.

Shedding is natural

Shedding is not unusual, especially with rugs made from natural fibres like linen or wool. Regular vacuuming with a non-rotating head on a low suction setting will help reduce shedding over time. We also offer rug underlays through King Living showrooms to minimise wear and tear.

Warranty Information

Our rugs come with a 2-year warranty covering manufacturing faults. However, wear and tear, including shedding and stains from spills, are not considered manufacturing faults.

Exclusive Designs

Our design team collaborates with interior designers and architects to create exclusive collections inspired by Australia's pristine landscapes. These artisan rugs are crafted using the finest materials to complement our sofa range and reflect our unique Australian lifestyle.

Our Social Responsibility

We are committed to ethical manufacturing practices. A portion of the profits from our rug sales goes towards educational facilities in the towns where our manufacturers are located. All our products are endorsed by the CARE & FAIR program, ensuring child-free labor.

Specific Cleaning Tips

  • Wool Blends: Spot clean with a damp cloth using plain water. Avoid soap or cleaning products.

  • Viscose/Artsilk: Use white paper towels for immediate spot cleaning. For more detailed cleaning instructions, consult WoolSafe, who can direct you to a professional cleaner in your area.
